Kennedy Rist, heading into her 4th season with the Chargers SC as the starting goalkeeper for the Chargers CLW G2004 ECNL-R team, was notified in late July that she had been chosen to receive the prestigious Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) Save Of The Year award. Wow, what a great honor!!
The Save was made a tMarch 19th, 2021 night game, the team was playing at TBU against a team from Rockford, IL who was ranked number 4 in their state. It was Kennedy's first game back from a broken nose and she was wearing a face shield. It was also her first save since that injury.

As of last month, Kennedy has 397 saves and a record of 49 wins, 18 losses, 11 ties in her 3 seasons with the Chargers. She attends East Lake High School and has 4.43 GPA. Kennedy played soccer her freshman and sophomore high school years and then she played basketball for East Lake High School her Junior year last year and was a starter. She will graduate in 2022.
Kennedy plans on continuing her athletic career in college as she is being recruited by multiple major D1 and D2 schools. She can always be identified on the field by one of her many superhero keeper jerseys, she has 10 and counting.
Kennedy was presented with the FYSA Best Save of the Year award at the Annual General Meeting Awards Banquet in Orlando on August 7th, 2021.
