Chargers Soccer Club Hosts Record-Breaking MLS NEXT Talent ID Sessions

Clearwater & Lakewood Ranch, FL – April 10, 2025 – Chargers Soccer Club is proud to announce a record number of attendees at its recent MLS NEXT Talent ID sessions, held for the U13 through U19 age groups. 

The sessions, which took place at Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch and Countryside Sportsplex in Clearwater, drew an unprecedented turnout of talented young players aiming to compete at the highest levels of youth soccer in the United States. 

These Talent ID events served as an essential step in identifying and evaluating players for both the MLS NEXT and the recently launched MLS NEXT New Tier programs—providing elite opportunities for youth athletes to develop and showcase their abilities on a national stage.

In addition to the MLS NEXT Talent ID sessions, Chargers Soccer Club will be hosting EA (Elite Academy) team tryouts in Lakewood Ranch on April 15–17. The club will also hold competitive team tryouts across its Clearwater, Tampa, and Lakewood Ranch campuses starting May 1st. These tryouts are open to players of various age groups and skill levels, offering even more opportunities for youth to join the Chargers Soccer Club family and continue their development in a competitive and supportive environment.
