Several months ago our club donated old & unused soccer gear in support of this great cause. Check out the heart-warming You Tube video and photos below to see how the Chargers facilitated what this group is able to accomplish. While watching you'll see past Labor Day Tournament t-shirts and older style Chargers jerseys in the gear they are handing out to the children in the Dominican Republic. We greatly applaud the efforts of this wonderful group and are thankful that they allowed for the Chargers to play a small part.
Pásala is a non-profit based in La Romana, Dominican Republic; and is focused on using sports to make education accessible for the underprivileged youth. The project aims to eliminate the strong cultural stigma that assumes that sports and education are mutually exclusive. On the contrary, we want to demonstrate that they go hand in hand, and that the combination of both can significantly improve the lives of our children. This is our idea; pass it on.
